Dammit Doll

I saw this on one of my favorite blogs, Lime & Violet, today and I swear to the good Lord above that I am going to make one of these this weekend.  I truly need it.  It's called a Dammit Doll.   They are cute little dolls you can crochet or make out of scrap materials.  The added benefit is that you can take your frustrations out by slamming them up against the wall or whacking them on the edge of a table...ahhh...the beauty of venting!  Here's a link to the instructions for making a non-crocheted Dammit Doll.

The following are different little poems you can attach to your little Dammit Doll in the event you want to give them to your friends as gifts:

Dammit Doll Instructions
When you want to kick the desk or
throw the phone and shout.
Here's a little dammit doll
you cannot do without.
Just grasp it firmly by the legs,
and find a place to slam it.
And as you whack it's stuffing out,
yell, "dammit, dammit, dammit!"

Computer Dammit Doll
Weird things happen as you hit return
Or your keyboard just can't spell
Things don't seem to be going well
And the computer has a sudden "chill"
So instead of yanking the plug out
Just take this doll and whack it
Against the monitor as you shout

Road Rage Dammit Doll
In your car as you go to work
The guy in front is a jerk
Since he won't get out of the way
You yell, "I need to get there TODAY!"
Then to get more frustration out
Just grab the doll and whack it,
On the dashboard as you shout,
"Dammit, Dammit, Dammit!"

Putting Things Off (PTO)

Oh gosh...I just ran across this Blog and absolutely LOVE it!  This article caught my eye and made me want to read more!  I receive a minimum of 150 emails each day at work.  It's just too much to keep up with...overwhelming is an understatment!  I'm so tempted to try what the article is suggesting...I have a Gmail account...do I dare give it a go?  Hmmm...I must go read more!

Baby Mary Janes - Free Pattern

Saw these sweet baby Mary Jane Booties on the Lime & Violet blog.  Aren't they precious???  You can get the free pattern on the How Stuff Work's web site.  They look very easy and I would imagine they are super-fast to knit. 

There's a young lady in my office that is expecting a little girl...these will make the perfect compliment to the hat and sweater I'm knitting her!  Yay!  I love complete outfits...one must teach the little ones to color coordinate early!  :-)
